When you went away
our world tumbled down
All the laughter ......
turned into a sad frown
A part of us
just got ripped apart
leaving a gaping hole
when you depart
You were there
when we wanted you
....and we were there
when you needed us ........
....you were our only child
our pride and joy
we loved & cared for you
more than any girl or boy
Wen-ning .... please forgive us
for scolding and beating you
for disciplining you
and for disappointing you
We truly wanted you
to grow up into a better human
to mature .... from a girl
to a lady .... and a woman
Whatever we did
was for your own good
We gave you the best
toys, books, clothes and food
Most of all
we gave you care and love
and now you took it along
to heaven high above
Now that you are not here
things wouldn't be the same
you won't be beside us
no matter how loud we call your name
Our days are now empty
devoid of any meaning
We wake up in the morning
but there's no more Wen-ning
Our nights are now darker
our thoughts are now weaker
we tried to put the pieces together
but they just don't gel and gather
Wen-ning ....words cannot describe
the flow of our tears
and the pain that
we'll endure throughout the years
For 11 wonderful years
we had bitter-sweet memories
those fleeting moments we will cherish
even though a life has perished
So many things we wanted to do
So many things we wanted to show you
So many things we wanted to teach you
.... but we can't .....not anymore .....
We regret for not listening to you
We are sorry for not paying attention to you
..... but it's too late now ....
how can we ever start anew ?
You left us for a new home
A place with urns and tombs
where angels lurk ...and doves fly
a place that don't need to say goodbye
a sanctuary where time is endless
a park that's always in eternity
its heaven above ..... in perpetuity ........
